The Academic Resource Center ( the ARC) is a tutoring service dedicated to ensuring that students at the Greater Hartford Campus are successful in their educational careers. This center offers tutoring services to all students taking courses at the Greater Hartford Campus.
The ARC is open 13 weeks each semester, Monday through Thursday, with morning to early evening hours. We conduct professional tutoring in the fields of academic writing,( for more information about writing tutoring, see Tri-Campus Writing Center ) math, statistics, economics, Spanish, chemistry, biology and the social sciences. Our tutors work with students to develop their skills in these important areas and disciplines.
As part of our tutoring in academic writing, the Academic Resource Center also offers assistance with research. Specifically, tutors can help students with their use and citation of print or electronic sources within their own writing.
To use this tutoring service, student may make an appointment for a specific day and time, or drop by and meet with a tutor as available. Sign-up sheets for appointments days/times are posted outside the ARC, next to room 303.
